Junji Setsu online exhibition.

Junji Setu’s online solo exhibition will be held from October 16th.

“Suminagashi” is a technique that has been used since ancient times in Japan to capture the flow of ink dripping on water. The pattern changes depending on the amount and position of the dropped ink and the movement of the water surface, expressing the beauty of the “Flort” that appears on the water surface.

Mr. Setu creates works using a unique technique called “Iro-Sumi-nagashi,” which uses not only black ink but also various colors, and reflects a colorful and mysterious expression on the surface of the pottery.

The flow of ink created by Mr. Setu creates a way of thinking for each person who sees the vessel, like a rising dragon or a cloud traveling in the sky.

This exhibition will introduce works centered on flower vases, which are deeply loved by overseas pottery fans, and sake cups, which are also standard in our exhibition.
