“Hagiyakiya x Multiply”
This “Hagiyakiya webshop” was started because I took an interest in Japanese ceramic pottery culture.
This Japanese pottery culture was growing up with Japanese Matcha Tea ceramony, call “Sado” culture.
Tea masters wanted excelent “Tea tools” for example Teabowl, Water container, and the potter has created more excelent tools for the demand.
They were always going to make better things, and also, the potter is proud to be a potter with like this culture.
We have been introduced you Hagi ware works as our pottery culture of hometown.
From now, we are intoroducing potter and their works to all over the world with Hagi works through the our homepage as an exhibition.
Before starting the exhibition, we are talking about Kilns and artists who are joining our special event.
Yuki Inoue at Inoue Manji Kiln.
If you are Japanese pottery fan, everyone knows the Japanese human national treasure Mr. Manji Inoue. I met his son, Mr. Yuki Inoue 29 year old young Arita-ware potter.
There are several kilns such as Sakaida Kakiemon kiln near the Manji Inoue kiln, and you can feel the tradition itself of the historic Arita-yaki around the Inoue Manji kiln.
I entered a gallery and I saw works those I soon noticed are made by Mr. Manji Inoiue .
For Inoue Manji kiln, Mr. Yuuki Inoue and his father Mr. Yasunori Inoue, and also his father, Mr. Manji Inoue, 3 generations are working as potter in same kiln.
Works of Mr. Yasunori Inoue are also exhibited in the gallery and have. Mr. Yuki Inoue’s work has been exhibited a little in the corner.
While taking over the technique of his grandfather and father, the posture showing up his own style is appearing in his works, and a number of ceramic arranged contemporaneously with the beauty of white porcelain as it is was impressive very much.
Yuki Inoue is a young artist who is seeing and training the technique of Manji Inoue close. Everyone is looking forward to his future.
Mr. Yuki Inoue was saying, but it seems that Inoue Manji Kiln itself seems to be high threshold from the same generation of friend. He wants various people to know the wonder of ceramics culture. For that reason, he is challenging various things while he can keep doing those.
This challenging spirit might be making a force that creates innovative and stylish works.
