Online Exhibit, Tamba yaki potter Takeshi Shimizu.
Japanese Pottery Online Exhibiton
“Hagiyakiya x Multiply”
Tamba ware “Tambayaki” Potter, Takeshi Shimizu.
From June 7th to 6th in 2019.
Next time, we will hold an exhibition of Tamba’s young artist Tsuyoshi Shimizu.
“Tamba Yaki no Sato” Tachikui area is where you can feel the flow of moderate time and very quiet place surrounded by mountains.
The Shitodani River flowing in the center of the Tachikui, and the Tambayaki pottery line up along the river.
I went to visit some Japanese potteries and went to many places,
the pottery place like “Bizen” or “Arita” or “Tokoname”, those are also the tourist destination, and among the old ceramic industry that was once the center of the industry.
I think that there is no place where you can touch the calm atmosphere with less noise of this world as this place.
If the atmosphere of the land is calm, then the people are also kindly.
I met some potters in this land of Tamba Tachikui, everyone responded very friendly.
Takeshi Shimizu’s Toshihiko kiln is located in the center of such a place Tachikui, where you can see the Hyogo Ceramic Art Museum and the Tachikui Tou no Sato directly in front of you.
After stopping the car and going up the hill where the breath was gradually rising, Ms. Shimizu welcomed me, and Mr. Takeshi Shimizu greeted me at the old Japanese house.
I had a chance to see Tsuyoshi’s works in various places, and I would like to go to see him if I can come to the place of Tamba yaki Tachikui area.
Anybody will be able to enjoy the Shimizu Takeshi’s world at the Toshihiko kiln.
Mr. Takeshi Shimizu has been awarded for two consecutive years with a contemporary tea ceremony in 2018 and 2019 in Toki city, and has received awards in various ceramic competition.
His skills have been evaluated by the judges of the expert.
In addition, he is a very attractive potter with a variety of styles that entertains people who use the technique based on his solid career.
In this exhibition, we will introduce about 30 works by Takeshi Shimizu.
Do not miss this online exhibition.
