“Hagiyakiya x Multiply”

This “Hagiyakiya webshop” was started because I took an interest in Japanese ceramic pottery culture.
This Japanese pottery culture was growing up with Japanese Matcha Tea ceramony, call “Sado” culture.
Tea masters wanted excelent “Tea tools” for example Teabowl, Water container, and the potter has created more excelent tools for the demand.
They were always going to make better things, and also, the potter is proud to be a potter with like this culture.

We have been introduced you Hagi ware works as our pottery culture of hometown.
From now, we are intoroducing potter and their works to all over the world with Hagi works through the our homepage as an exhibition.
Before starting the exhibition, we are talking about Kilns and artists who are joining our special event.

 

Mutsumi Takayanagi in Kyoto.

I met Ms. Mutsumi Takayanagi who is painting porcelain potter in Kyoto.
I wanted to go to her kiln since I met her at Takashimaya in Tokyo. I liked her works and her personality.

 

Although it is in Kyoto city, a couple of chickens are kept on the site back yard with the natural rich land.

This place is very matched to the calm character of Ms. Mutsumi Takayanagi.

 

She showed me her beautiful and impressive works those are made with her delicate feeling and painting
I also saw her “Rokuro” turn table work place and the work table for painting.

 

Ms. Mutsumi Takayanagi does not have a large number of pieces because each her laborious work is spent on one solo exhibition and one work piece. Every piece of her work has energy, and impressive.
I heard from her friends that she already had a prominence as a ceramist since she was a student. I can feel the charm of Ms. Mutsumi Takayanagi as a pottery artist even where the talent is being exploded further after his debut.
