From June 19, Hagi ware artist Kiyoshi and Keita, father and son’s special exhibition.
Both artists are also popular for regular sale at Hagi Yakiya.
In this exhibition, will only introduce the works that they made just for this exhibition.
The Hagi ware Yamato family was began when Hagiyaki potter Sakutaro Yamato moved from Hagi city to Yamaguchi city and opened a kiln in Meiji era.
The Meizen kiln where Kiyoshi and Keita are making their works was built by Kiyoshi.
The place is surrounded by nature.
They always interact with the sounds of trees, the murmur of rivers, and sometimes animals to create powerful works.
