Seto potter, Teppei Terada.

From November 20th, we will hold an exhibition of works by Seto ceramist Teppei Terada.

The son of Yasuo Terada.

 

Seto is one of Japan’s most famous pottery area, and he was born in a kiln that has long history at the historical place Seto.

 

After graduating from Tokyo Zokei University, he has been making pottery as an artist.

He has a very high level of innovative modeling techniques such as making bird-shaped decanters. In addition to that, he also creates classic works with painting Chidori-mon, nami-mon and hanging persimmons.

 

1975: born in Seto, Aichi pref.

1998: graduated from Tokyo University of Art and Design sculpture department.

Go abroad AEI to Oregon University USA.

2006: “ASAHI ceramic art exhibition” selected.

2009: “Gyeonggi-do world ceramics Biennale” selected.

2011: 9th “International ceramics exhibition in MINO” selected.

13th: “Tokyo, New York sister city interchange ceramic art contest” selected as Fine Work.

2012-: Solo exhibition at KURODA TOEN (Ginza / Tokyo) *every year.
